I want to put GN front air dams on my 1987 base Regal...mostly for looks,
does anyone know if it may cause overheating issues?.....opinions welcome...thanks

If you use the one piece unit (82-85) it will help with cooling. If you use the later 86-87 unit I don't know how well it will work

Run both, leave the current air dam in place and add the '86-'87 trim. The air that goes through the scoop slot will be sent upward via the stock air dam.

I had a set of 86/87 dams on my 307 T. I trimmed the part that would go to the intercooler scoop and left the other air dam in place. Ran it for about 3500 miles with a 400 sbc and Fbody rad with no temp issues. HTH
