On an 87 GN should the headlight bezels be gloss black or flat black? Mine are faded and I'm thinking of painting them while they're out. The bumpers and are gloss right?

Has anyone tried those fiberglass front bumper fillers that I've seen on ebay? Just wondering about the quality, sounds more durable than the OEM replacments.

Thanks...
Eric

satin black
Get some trim black(name), company is SEM that is what u need.

Paint

The bezels are satin? What about the bumpers, and spoiler for that matter, it needs a coat too.

Anyone have the paint codes, or know where I can get them, I want it to be a perfect match for the original.

Bumpers, fillers and spoiler are all BODY parts, and should be painted body color (gloss black if you're dealing GN here). The grille, bezels, door handles, etc are TRIM pieces and should be painted a satin black (aka semigloss). SEM brand makes a paint that's about $8 and looks great. Easy to use too.

Ahh..

Now that makes it make sence. :) Thanks..

Still wondering about the fiberglass fillers, as opposed to getting OEM peices?

Factory ones are great, if you can find a good set. Glass is good but of course doesn't flex, so if you tap something it's going to crack. ABS plastic is a little more forgiving, but I question it's long term reliability. When I finally have to replace my factory ones, it'll be with the 'glass.

I've got a set of the fiberglass fillers off ebay. They are easy to paint and install. When you receive them, make sure the pieces are in good shape, no thin spots.

Each piece comes with indentions for you to drill out before installing on the car. You will have to elongate the holes for a perfect fit.

I'm pleased with them. You can get the complete set for $185.
