There are so many varibles when installing the Buick front cover:
- Oil passage line-up
- Roller cam nose piece line-up
- Front seal-to-crank line-up
- Variations in front cover machine work, especially aftermarket
- Variations in block alignment pin locations
These covers are so difficult to R&R once the car is up and running, it sure pays to get it right the first time and that is just pure luck without an alignment tool.
