Front inner fender question....

Had my front passenger wheelwell off and when I was reinstalling it I noticed what appears to be a square cut out on the back side of the inner front fender on passenger side. It seems factory byou the cut and I think it has tabs but not sure.. is this normal or did someone do this for access for something. Stock motor no mods low mile. Sorry I'm at work now and didn't take a pic.

Sounds like that GNX fender well clearance patch kit someone sells.

Would that have been maybe an access panel for changing the power antenna? The panel is directly behind the tire

It's not the GNX fender well clearance kit...it's directly behind the wheel.

There is a large fender washer inside the wheel well that attaches to the firewall. I just fixed one with fiber glass it had about a 3 inch diameter hole that cracked around the washer. Could this be the area your talking about?
