After my rebuild I was not happy with the firmness of my shifts so naturally I tightened up the TV cable, 2 weeks later I blew out my front seal. I promptly put the cable back to where it was and towed the car back to the builder, he fixed it for free. He said this time he put a retainer over the seal (He had already drilled out the return holes). Again I want to raise the pressure, will I blow it out again or will the retainer prevent this?

Thanks Guys!

retainer should help but i dont like them.

since last time mine blew i was outta state i fixed mine...

i drilled small hole thru the lip of the seal on each side and tapped it for #6 bolts.

so now its locktighted in and got 2 bolts in it..bet it wont come out now..:D

Retainer will help but as far as it preventing it is anybodies guess (but I doubt it) read "ATTENTION!!!! NEW VERSION!! Strengthening The 2004r " at the top of the posts to see what should be done to prevent it.

Ahhh..... one in the bunch...paying attention!....

:D
