Front side marker lights

Hopefully we can keep the trolls out of this one so I can get an answer. Sorry if a recent thread got out of hand but I got a little razzed.

My question is about the front side marker lamps. UPS just delivered them to me today and something doesn't look right. They look new as advertised and were in GM wrappers but they also had tape on the package edges. I can see what appears to be paint spray at the edges and one looks like it had touch-up put on at the top black area. The RH side is the crappy one and the LH side looks pretty good.


The LH GM bag has part number 919873 on it and the lamp has 165023511 on the back of it.

The RH GM bag has part number 919874 on it and the lamp has 165023521 on the back of it.

I checked with BWeavy to see what the plastic under the black should be and he said clear. He was busy working on a rear and didn't have time to talk but said if it is silver or white I got ripped.

Just wanted to see what it is I have or have not got and put out a buyer beware because he is selling a bunch of them on E-Bay since they have been discontinued.

Just happen to have a chipped right side lens on my bench. Part no. is the same as you have. Looks like clear plastic at the broken edges to me.

Thanks Nick! I just took off some of the paint to see and they are both clear underneath.

I purchased a set a while back.The lights themselves were mint,
but the black paint on the trim wasnt the greatest.So I repainted the black.Kirbans just discontinued these last month.

Get 'em while you can boys because I hear they are now discontinued. There is some guy that works at Burns Pontiac here in South Jersey that has been going through the GM parts network and buying up all of the remaining GN/Turbo Buick specific parts and selling them on Ebay. He has changed his id on there 3 times as far as I can see. He currently lists his location as Toms River, New Jersey.
Well, anyways, if you go to buy a fairly common part for your GN from GM and find it discontinued, you know why.

I called this place Thursday morning 11-21-02.They want $28 for the right sidemarker light and $78 for the left sidemarker light.
I think the trolls are making our parts extinct

Those people are monitoring. The left just discontinued and no stock. I tried to order the $75.00 ea. rear tail-lights and when we got to the part about making payment he said the price was $125.00 ea. now Another discontinued item so they jacked it up in less than a week from when I got my catalog.

GM didn't do a good job painting the lights...mine had an ugly overspray area on both of them. Nothing a little thinner didn't take care of.

Jesse, I use a satin black for out door use on all of my trim. it doesn't quite match the factory stuff because it looks better. I just repainted it all.
