after my last track outing, and 4 consistant 12.20 runs, 2nd gear has slowly slipped away from me. i will eventually get around to pulling and rebuilding, but would still love to have a Muncie Rock Crusher behind this thing. and yes, i've heard the pros and (mostly) cons on this subject. i just think it would be awesome to bang through a manny with the power these beasts make, if only it were reasonably possible. i guess i'm pretty much venting. i haven't been able to drive my baby for close to 2 months now, and that's my major form of stress relief! wish me sanity through the winter! thanks for taking the time to read.
I feel ya, my dad and i rebuild our own trannies and it took a few to get it right (if you have the money and want reliable 11s go with all the billet parts) Now it has 16,000 miles on it and over 70 track passes and it shifts great. Although i agree that even going slower a t56 or 4 speed muncie would be awesome in one of these cars. Thats why in the future i want a white T with all the suspension goodies to make it handle with the best of them, no AC, fiberglass everything, and a motor that makes so much power that it doesn't matter that a stout T56 is behind it as it will still be nasty. At least thats my dream, and to spank a few vettes and BMWs on the roadcourse while rowing through the gears.
