GM part# 22514722 & 22516256 are for the fuel feed and return lines @ the fuel rail. One of them is also used where the lines attach down at the frame. But then there is a 3rd size even smaller used in that location down at the frame as well.

Anyone know the GM part# for that smallest size seal???? I'm at a loss and GM Partech is as well!!b

TIA,

K.

I haven't seen a 3rd size on our cars. I just gone done putting the stainless steel lines on a car and I'm also screwing around with a hot air(same lines more or less) and it takes the smaller of those two part numbers. You are talking about the return line, where the line that goes from the FPR down to the hard line at the front crossmember, right? The seal on the end of that line? I'm 99% sure thats part number 22516256. I've just gone through all of the catalogs for every FI'd 3800 built in the late 80's and could only find those 2 seals used.

Eric,

That's what I thought as well, and I even keep those (2) numbers in stock for the local guys. But... I know have a guy locally saying that the smaller seal (p# 22516256) is too big for down at the frame location???

Maybe it's just him... :D

Well, maybe not... I just had another confirmation from another guy saying that there is a 3rd size.

Let me see what I can find in the standard parts look-up.

Just replaced mine this past fall. There is a 3rd size. I gave Jack cotton a call, and he had them in his shop. Worked for me! If you come up with the GM part# or another supply, please post. I will by a few for future reference. Brian

If you come up with the GM part#...

I FedEx'd another part# to come in the morning. Hopefully it's what I'm/We're looking for. I'll know more in the am.

Had the exact same problem, there is a 3rd seal, and I went up and down the GM catalogs looking for ANY seal to fit with no luck. Gary Mitchell bailed my arse out by sending me a handful to pick from.

Yeah, that one is very small. I ended up calling a gasket/seal company in my area for it.....they came up with one of a little larger OD but it worked leak free. They actually gave me a couple for FREE.

Also, there a website called www.orings.com They can provide just about any size and material.

OK, GM part#3094213 or AcDelco part#15-3613 is what I came up with. I brought it home and compared it to a car I have in the shop (with the motor out) and it seems to be just about a perfect fit.

My only question is if the material it is made out of is compatible with fuel. It is a black neoprene o-ring, whereas the original o-ring is brown color of which I don't know what it is made of.

Anyone have any expertise here???

TIA,

K.
