For thos of you who read and helped on my last thread, here is what I have done so far and still can't get to start.
I took the fuel tank off, cleaned it out completely. Checked my fuel pump to see if it works (it does), changed the fuel filter, and replaced a cracked hose. I put everything back together and put 5gal of premium in it.
On the electrical, I replaced all the plugs (getting spark), cleaned all the posts on the coil pack, and made sure all the plugs are plugged in and vacuum hoses are correct...still no start. It will only fire with starter fluid.
I took the valve out of the schrader valve and put a clear hose to it, it had a little bit of old yellow gas in it. I took the fuel pump test wire and ran it straight to the battery and can hear the pump turn on....but nothing comes out of the schrader?????
Does this mean that my lines are clogged...or maybe not enough voltage getting the pump to run fast enough?

If i read this correctly, you put the schrader valve back before trying to get fuel through the lines. If that is the case, take the schrader valve out and run your clear hose to another 5 gallon gas tank and then hook the fuel pump test wire up to 12v. The fuel pump is not getting a prime, as soon as it gets a prime and starts pumping fuel out of your clear line--put the schrader valve back in and fire away.

Hope i read that correctly and this helps.

Well, gotta' call baloney... the fuel pump is submerged with 5 gal in the tank, and the system is constant flow with the return line as a flow path even when the engine isn't running, so 'getting a prime' isn't a consideration. I didn't follow your other thread, but if the fuel pump is running, and gas is not flowing out the test connection with the schrader removed, either the pump is bad (almost assuredly), or like you said, the line is clogged (highly unlikely), or possibly kinked somewhere due to someone's handywork. Loosen the fitting at the fuel filter and run the pump..... if it doesn't spray gas there, the pump is junk. You are sure you replaced the rubber inlet/return lines in their proper places at the top of the tank/pump.... rite?? :)

Also make sure you used hoses approved for gas. I used the wrong kind of hose once, and she left me stranded. Also another problem I had here recently was the same hose I spoke of above was to short and the clamp was a little to loose causing me a lot of heartache/loss of fuel pressure.

Good luck, make sure you computer wire is connected also.

Some ideas:
A. Rubber lines at the tank area are either kinked, rotted inside, or crossed. Did you blow out the lines when you had the tank out?
B. Rubber line at the ft of the frame is kinked, or rotten inside.
C. Rubber line that hooks the pump to the hanger is fubar.
D. Pump is wired backwards.
E. Fuel filter is in backwards.
F. Given the fuel that you found in the rail is fubar, I'd bet the injectors are full of crap too, and may/may not work.

When you and whoever before you dropped the tank for the pump install, was the fuel lines above the axle loosened? There's a heat shield that can be removed and a 12mil bolt holding the fuel lines to the body. Oh, and there's rubber lines up there also...

hey guys thanks. ok...here is what I have found out (NOTHING!!) HAHA. well....I did replace the one bad hose with one for gas. It was one of the ones under the heat shield by the passenger shock. I"m sure that the lines are correct but will check on wednesday. I do have the filter pointing in the right direction(will check that too).
I have a walbro 340 that was just installed like 3 yrs ago...but the car only has maybe a few thousand miles since then. I can hear it run. I ran it in my hand briefly when it was out. It felt like it was working fine. I really really really dont want to take my tank back off. That sucked royaly! I don't even know how I got the strap bolts back on ( just prayed and they got on).
um......lets see. I had the pump runnign with the schrader valve out and nothing. TOok the regulator off and more of the nasty yellow gas came out.
Wednesday I"m going to borrow my neighbors compressor and him and I are going to blow out the lines and see if they are clogged. If I get all the gunk out of them at the rubber hoses under the heat sheild I'll know where the prb is. Hopefully I don't have to take the tank off again.,
