No Spark?

Sounds like crank sensor to me. When replacing these electrical parts, I only use ac delco. Other brands always seem to have some side effect. They create problems in other spots leaving you scratching. I would definatly swap the crank sensor before the module. You may save yourself some $$$$$. Good luck and post back your findings.

I too, have had no-starts from bad crank sensor, & back-firing (blown intake manif gasket) from suspected improper crank sensor clearance (sensor moved?). At less than $30, I'd replace it (at least check clearance=approx . 0.025"--each side of ring).

Also, check for good grounds--especially @ back of engine (ICM area) to firewall. I would not be assured a code 42 was from bad ICM itself--it can also be caused by bad wiring/ connections/ (crank sensor?).

Interesting day. We replaced the crank sensor and car finally started again. That appears to be what the hard part failure was. (after having replaced the cam sensor, and ECM as well). Car builds 15 pounds of boost and doesn't appear to be running rich.

The car is still throwing code 41 (cam sensor) and code 33 (Maf sensor) right now, which I'm clueless about. Anyone want to venture a guess as to why?
