I use an autometer electrical full sweep in the A-pillar pod and it works great. Never used that brand though.

Chris, Always check the calibration on electrical fuel system gauges.
Plus some electrical sender are sensitive to heat and will vary as temp raises.
If possiable use a "T" on the fuel rail, have a known good mechanical gauge on one leg (with hose to run gauge under windshield wiper) and the sender on the other.

Its hard to watch fuel pressure on the guage under the wiper. Thats why im looking for something to put in-car.

I use the Cyberdyne fuel gauge mounted on the piller. I'm very pleased with it. I have not tried to calibrate it, however, it appears to be close. I set my fuel pressure using it.

I have the Cyberdyne digital dash also like it. My fuel pressure gauge & the digital dash have red readouts - matches my TType's interior. I'm also used to red gauges in aircraft.

autogauge makes a mechanical adoptor for the mechanical gauge to be installed in the car.

I've had three of those on my car and all 3 had the diaphragms fail and let fuel into the car. They stopped making them for a while - maybe the new one is better? The isolator is a pain, too, because you have to run high-pressure line into the car and up to the gauge. Then you have to bleed all of the air out of the line and the gauge in order for it to work right.

I finally broke down and bought an electric, full sweep Auto Meter gauge last year. When you factor in the cost of the gauge itself and then the multiple isolators I've had to buy, it wasn't a bad deal at $200. I have it mounted on the a-pillar and have an underhood mechanical gauge as well. The two gauges are completely in synch.

thanks for the info
i Will follow in your foot steps and get the electric full sweep as i also have one mounted on the fuel rail it self.

i have the new stepper motor sender auto meter, and the heat do's not seem to interfere with it the part # 105-7563, that is the phantom 2 Gauge, work's Great

Jimmy,
Can you tell the exact gauge you have and how does it hook up? Do you still need to use an isolator?
Please fill me in.

Thank You,
Chris

Chris,

I have an Autometer Ultra Lite full sweep. Here's a link to Summit's page:

It comes with the sender. I had to get a 1/8" NPT to -AN adapter (don't recall the size) to make it work since I already had a braided fuel line from the rail to my old isolator (now that I think about it, the isolator would've had a fitting on it - not sure why I didn't use that. I'll post a pic later.

I had one of their fp senders and gauges. It was junk. I even sent it back to Cyberdyne to have it calibrated/fixed...they so called repaired it and it still was waaaaay off.

That was many years ago ... perhaps they've fixed the problem by now. But I won't buy any more of their products.

That was my experience with their isolators as well...instead I got an Autometer Z-series electric fuel psi gage and is dead on accurate. WAAAY easier to install too.

that one does look like cberdyne in the first post. i have the red cyberdyne in the car no problemo so far its right on with my mechanical gauge that bursted on me i got from poston a long time ago. my sender connects to the exact port were the mechanical gauge went then a sensor wire to the end of the sender which goes in to the **** pit where the gauge is i rember my mechanical was sat dead on 42 when it bursted & the digital was on 42 when installed. if i feel its off i could just borrow a mechanical to recheck...hth
