Installed the 340 tt fuel pump that Eric sells, and it said that it would need the return line to be modified, and I didn't. I can't control the fp now with my fp regulator , car at idle runs about 42lbs of fp. Is it bad not to mod The return line? Car runs great , fp works Awsome. Just didn't know if mod the return line was necessary .

It said that the return line would need to be modified to accompany the flow, I think?

If you're able to get the fuel pressure down to 42lbs line off, there's no need to modify.
If the 42 you posted is with line on at an idle, you'll need to.
Remove the return line from the regulator, then remove the other end of the line from where it attaches to the return line sticking out of the frame by the power steering.
You'll notice how much smaller the ID of the line is at the end of the line where the O-ring is retained. This is called a Saginaw fitting.
Drill this out to as large a diameter as you can.
Do the same thing to the line sticking out of the frame.
If you get too aggressive you might drill through a portion. As long as it isn't too much,it will still work as it's the O-ring that does the sealing.
