I need to put a fuel pump circuit in. I have the donor cars relay(s). I also have a new Walbro pump, and I got the hotwire kit at the same time. The question is how to wire it. If I have to build a new circuit anyway, is the hotwire needed, or do I build the circuit like the factory and run the hotwire as one would do for an upgrade?

The relay should be back by the fuel pump connection.
A thicker feed wire from alternator or (3)battery should be on the feed side of the relay.
The other side across from that should be put into the(5) pump + wire.

Run the other wire to (2)ground and the(1) sorce from ecm to trigger the relay.

This is if your using a Bosh 30amp relay if you go to autozone ect.
85 and 86 are your ground and (fuel pump trigger from ECM) does not really matter which side you use but you can go by the below diagram.
30 would be your thick wire coming from battery/alternator
87 would be going to the pump.
