I have a problem and am wondering if anyone has ever ran across this before.

My fuel pump from time to time decides not to run.
I has power all the way to the 3 connector weather pack connector
at the rear bumper though.
So, all I have to do is have someone turn the key on, tug just slightly on the 3 wires going to the top of the sending unit, and VIOLA it kicks on.

I'm pretty sure it is the connector that goes to the top of the sending unit.
It is the plastic connector on top of the sending unit that has the 3 wires coming out of it.
Mine are red, purple and black.

Here's my main questions.

1) Does anyone know where you can get that connector ?
(Not the intank wiring harness, you can find them everywhere)

2) Can you simply bypass that connector by removing it, and run new wiring directly inside the tank (thru the hole where
that connector is supposed to be) to the pump and gas gauge sending unit and forget that connector ?
Im not sure what the difference would be if you could do that and also safely seal up that opening, but I don’t want to blow up the car either

Thanks
Steve

I have seen those before, just not sure if it also has the connector
on the other end that connects to the top of the sending unit.
I will see if I can get an answer from them.
Thanks Steve
