I installed a Walbro pump and Hot Wire kit and now when the car sits overnight I have to crank it a lot before the pump will kick on. Once the pump starts running it fires right up and runs fine. The stock pump would kick on and prime as soon as the key was turned to Accessory. Why would it not do that now? I believe it's also losing fuel pressure while sitting. Leaking injector/injectors?

my experience with a similar issue was the fuel pump relay (mounted on passenger inner fender), got one at napa. not sure if it could be a fuse. mine won't hold fuel pressure more than 15 minutes or so. try vortexbuicks.com for troubleshooting

You could have one of the rubber line hose clamps on the pump itself not tight enough and it is leaking down and losing its prime.

Sounds like the fuel pump relay isn't working. The engine is having to build oil pressure which activates the relay bypass switch to turn the pump on. Check your wiring and relay. :)
