Fuel pump hanger

Is it possible to weld the fuel pump hanger? I was installing my new Walbro and noticed that one of the spot welds on the part that holds the pump is broken. If so what method?

I have welded them before!!

I have welded many sending units before, and never had a problem. I good wire welder always helps a lot. The metal is real thin so try not to burn thru it!! I have brazed them as well and it seems to hold up reall good to!!!!

Not to sound like an ass, Be sure to weld far away from the tank!!!! I went to school with a kid who was trying to weld a Mustang sender on the other side of his garage from the tank and lost his entire house! Not tryin to pull the DUH card, but with gas you never can be too carefull!:biggrin:
