Fuel pump question

Is it normal for it to be a little loud? This not the stock on replaced it with a high performance pump but standing behind the car when its running you can hear it not sure if it was like that when,I replaced it? Or is this a sign its going out? Anyone?

Depends on the brand of pump used. There are quite a bit of manufacturers with noisy pumps.

If you are running a Walbro, the gerotor style pumps are admittedly not the quietest pumps; however you can limit the noise greatly if you install with a rubber grommet/sleeve and avoid direct pump shell contact with other plastic/metal components on your module. This will reduce vibrational frequencies being transferred throughout the tank/vehicle and cut down on the noise.
