I have to replace the fuel rail this week and i am used to the intercooled cars. is there a easy way to get rail off and what parts am i going to need that are special and problems i will run into.
just dig down until you get it, removing parts as you go. the top of the motor really opens up once the turbo/throttle body assembly is out of the way.
unhook hte exhaust, unhook the throtttle and tv cables, unhook tha air intake tube, take out the 3 or 4 bolts that hold the turbo down, unhook a couple of vacuum hoses.. grabe the thing and pull up..
it's out in about an hour.
it's just like anything else- just start taking things off and it will come out eventually. that's how we used to do it in the dark ages before the internet existed.
