so say someone is building a 1300hp single turboed efi sbc car..

what fuel pump, filter, and injectors should this person look into?

thank you for looking.

Gas, Ethanol, or Methanol? Mechanical or electrical pump? KAM, BS3, XFI, or mechanical? Budget? -10AN filter and Pro series Aeromotive and 160's will be the minimum allowable and cheapest.

1300 RWHP Or Flywheel?

2025 Weldon minimum with a controller if the car will be street driven. If track only, no controller.

RWHP...

yes i will try to street drive it... so i agree on the controller.

i was reading something about certain injectors require a certain amount of fuel pressure... anyone care to shed some light on that subject?

1300 hp will require roughly 110 gph total fuel flow. That's 8 of 83#/hr injectors (if they were static or 100% dc). But you want some margin or headroom so if you were only running 85% dc, you will need approx. 97#/hr injectors (pick 95#/hr). Looking at a plot of a 95#/hr injector and some big pumps, making sure those 2 curves cross above 70 psi (assuming 45 psi base plus 25 psi boost), you will need, as a minimum pump (in order of increasing capacity):

Aeromotive eliminator, 6 psi and 8 gph margin
Weldon 2032, 7 psi and 10 gph margin
Weldon 2025, 12 psi and 14 gph margin

2025 min if your talking motor power. For 1300 rwhp you'll want a 2345 with a controller and 160's whether it's 1300 on the motor or 1300 at the tires. No reason to run anything less than 160's with the XFI system.

At 100% dc:
Aeromotive eliminator, 6 psi and 8 gph margin
Weldon 2032, 7 psi and 10 gph margin
Weldon 2025, 12 psi and 14 gph margin

At 85% dc:
Aeromotive eliminator, 8 psi and 8 gph margin
Weldon 2032, 10 psi and 12 gph margin
Weldon 2025, 22 psi and 24 gph margin

magnafuel prostar 500 with filter 12 an from tank to pump 10-an to regulators (always use bigger supply to pump) with a air bleed return line
