fuel tank capacity

I just filled up and the pump said I put in over 20 gallons. Is this possible on a 87 GN? I've never put that much gas in this car. I think the station is ripping people off. I've got a call in to the owner to see what's up.

I never fill my tank over 3/4th because I don't like gas spilling out the filler neck onto my fillers panels and such should I encounter a Mustang on the way home. I wish the Buick filled at a quarter panel - I hate that straight back design under the license plate - PITA.

I think (???) the OEM fuel tank holds 18 gallons, give or take...

geez how could you ever say that!

i love being able to pull into either side of the pump and be fine... also it is much easier for gas runs! not that i would ever do that but if you had to....
