FWD non-turbo 3.8 Roller Cam

Can the roller cam and lifters from a non turbo FWD 3.8 be used in a 87 GN? If so will the performance gain (if any) be similar to an after market cam upgrade? I see these motors in the junkyard all the time and have salvaged plenty of fpr and coils and modules just to have spares so I would have access to multiple FWD 3.8s.
