G Body Cutlass center console

I hate the fact that my GN has no center arm rest, but I think those console extensions look pretty bad. You can just tell its an afterthought, really takes away from the interior. Anyway, it looks like the B body Cutlass has a similar center console with a small riser which is exactly what Im looking for. Has anyone used one of these before? Does the console lid come off and transfer to the buick console? I would rather keep my console and just transfer the lid if possible. Just wanted to see if anyone has looked into this before I do out and get one. TIA

It's been done. Check with Sal 87WE2.
The entire console has to be swapped as the armrest part doesn't separate. It does look good though.
