I have a damaged headliner board. Is it possible to fix it or worth it to get a new one?

I'll save you a few $ here. Easy way to repair. Take 2 thin pieces of paper, like fax paper.Glue a piece on each side & then install your new headliner material.It works for small cracks never tried a big crack in a headliner.The thin paper cannot be seen once the material is installed.
