whats the best paint/ sealer/ epoxy for my garage floor?
i was just about to ask this question...

i think the dryloc is the one i will be using under my racedeck

noskidding.com has one. I used on my garage floor but has only been down a month or so, so I dont have a "review" about it.

My father worked fro sears for 27 years in the automotive district. He told me that epoxy stuff used to chip all the time and they would spend millions on getting the floors recoated every so often. When I do get my house in the near future I am going to get the new car garage floor polished like Home depot has. Closes up alot of the pores, so alot less stains and you dont have to worry about chipping or scratching it.

I used the Rustoleum EpoxyShield Garage Floor Coating...here are some pics...I have had it on about a year now...no chipping whatsoever or paint being picked up from hot tires...just follow the directions for prepping...floor needs to be clean...and let it dry for a week...

Just a little more info...I got the kits from Home Depot...think they are around $60...one kit does a 1 car garage so I needed 2 kits...actually I needed 3 since the paint soaked into the concrete so well I ended up putting another coat on...so all in all with brushes...roller...etc I spent about $200 for the job...

Thats looks really good. Is that pic after it was just done or one year later?

The pics were taken about a week after it was done...it still looks the same other than some scratches...ground in marks...I have used the floor jack...tranny jack and engine hoist on the floor...other than a few black marks from the metal wheels no damage...the paint has not chipped anywhere in the garage...the only problem I had was filling the expansion cracks with some cheap cement type stuff...thought it was a little flexible but it wasn't...started to crack/chip which I have fixed but that was my fault not anything wrong with the paint...the paint really bonds...I have dragged heavy objects across the floor and although it does scratch it there is no sign of chipping...I can take some today pics if interested...
