Since I put a new Reds fuel pump in the gas gauge stopped working. Its digital and I have taken it out twice. First time got it working just by moving the float then put it together and stopped working. Second time I took it apart and cleaned it via eraser and scotchbrite that I found directions from a post here. Hooked it up and it worked. Put it back in the tank and put 4 gallons in and it worked. Car sat in garage for a few weeks and took it in town for gas and put 5 gallons in and it dont work. Says 8 gal while driving and 6 gal after I shut it off. Am I missing something here?
