Gas gauge won't go to F - not sending unit

Tested the sending unit and it reads 90 OHMs with float lifted - 0 lowered, but gauge only reads 3/4 when float lifted- I also ran it out of gas with gauge at 1/8. Dash gauge is getting 12v and reads 104 OHMs across the bottom contacts with float lifted. Do I need a new gas gauge and who has em ?

Digital dash or analog?

Analog... I'm thinking it needs a new dash gauge. Gonna try steel wool on the connector pins tomorrow.

You need to check your grounds and the contacts for that circuit in the gauge cluster. Ideally there isn't any resistance developed in the dash but over time that changes. Sometimes just taking it apart and putting it together helps.
