I'm getting 18, 19, or 20 mpg consistently with 50* injectors and stock turbo.:D I was getting 17 consistently for a couple years with stock injectors. I think what really made the difference was installing a 2 1/2" hooker catback system with "NO DRONE" Summit $15 mufflers. Sounds great! Try it, you'll like it. ;)

That's only because you have Magic Mufflers. ;)

Stall Converter??

Could the 2400 Stall Converter be the culprit of all of this?? My brother thinks so..I mean yes I have to give it more gas than usual to get it goin..but I mean would it all add up to only getting 8MPG?? This is really startin to worry me..I wonder if buying the stock converter would make everything better, but then again that's a few hundred $$$ that I don't exactly have right now..
Anymore Ideas??

Most of the time I get about 10-12 mpg. Most of my trips are about 4-5 miles, and that is all. I don't even reach operating temperature, and I shut it off.
I have done a couple of tests, and am surprised at the results. On SEVERAL trips, I have traved about 65-70mph, and gotten 10-14 mpg. I fill up, and travel 85 mph, and get 20mpg. Go figure. I don't think that my excuse of saving the enviroment would fly if I tried to use it to get out of a ticket, though.

I think your original post said you put 15 gallons in the tank after driving 150 miles. That's 10 miles per gallon, not 8.1 the way I figure it. Did I miss something here? That's not too bad if you're tweaking the throttle a lot in traffic.

i have the same problems with my digtal dash. My mpg are horrible also. I fixed headers, intake, exhuast.

I have a thrasher 92 and it says to run 45 static pressure. i was doing that for a while. But because of my horrible gas mileage, i reduced it back to 35 static. I ran the car hard, did not get any knock (16 psi only). O2's were around 800-835.

Im thinking maybe i have leaky injectors? Or my stock ones are just worn out. Vacuum leak may also cause poor gas economy. I gotta check out those rubber fuel line connections.

I got 23 mpg on the trip to BG. I ran around 75 mph with the air on sometime. Ported irons, Comp 212/212, TE44, 3" DP, 009's, JL chip. 3" single shot, Mod D5 converter etc.

Man....

I average anywhere from 245-260 miles on a tank of gas! I have a digital dash and when that "E" starts flashing I head to the local Amoco!:D I see alot of you guys can only get 13-14 gallons on a fill-up....with the E flashing I get 16.5 to 17 gallons EVERYTIME! So...I guess I'm averaging 15-17 MPG. Not bad for 185,000 miles with stock worn out injectors!:p

Fairly stock 86 TT, I get 22-24 MPG cruising at 65MPH average.

I require in-flight refueling at WOT.

So far, 24.5MPG has been the best and I was really soft on the throttle on a long trip.

I've been getting 27 mpg on the Interstate in my GN with an Extender chip.
