I'm getting sick and tired of watching the news and all they say is fuel prices are on the move again!!!

How much money do these oil companies need to make!!

Prices in WI right now are $2.59/gallon and are supposed to go up tomorrow..

Just a few weeks ago they were saying that gas prices should stabilize..

Oh well I guess I just won't drive the Buick that much this summer.

How is gas where you live??

I'm not sure what typical unleaded is but Super Unlead is around 2.60-2.75 a gallon. You would think our fuel would be cheaper seeing how we have our own refinnery and supply it with oil out of our back yard. Whats even crazyer is how cheap the fuel gets the futher away from that refinnery

Yeah, I know for a fact it is more expensive across the street from the refinery! Go figure .............

Hey I know your upset at the prices, but you guys at 2.59 per gallon are not bad at all considering I paid 3.39 a gallon yesterday

Granted all the prices are bad. Just go ask any individual in their 80's what they paid for gas when they were in their 20's. Thats something to make you sick over.

Just filled up my Blazer and it was $50! 87 Octane, $2.79 a gallon here in CT. Was pissed about the price but right down the street it is now $2.85. Super is over $3.

Doesn't bother me about driving the Buick, I have been putting less than 1000 a year on it the past few years.:frown:

That logic doesn't work. Oil companies were making big profits back then too. It's called inflation. Ask someone in their 80s what they paid for their car or house. Same thing.

Deal with it. Prices aren't going to be $1.50 ever again.

And I sure as hell didn't buy a GN for the gas mileage. It's like people who complain about mileage in their SUV or pick-up.

O I know they were making their fair share of money. Just think a new house was under 10k, cars 3k and less and so on. O and when I was telling you guys what I filled up, it was not the GN, I don't drive that car enough to care about gas for that, I was talking about my Acura. Its pretty bad when it takes that car 42.00 to fill, but then again, I had a Silverado, and when the prices were 2.30 that thing took me 50.00 at half tank. So like i always say, It could be worse.

Work more drive less, spend less, and pay for what you need

People will naturally cut back on expenses and then the money from fuel taxes will be lower because people will make alternatives to cut budgets and corners, for instance: hunting license fees will be increased so more money to the sate, but as a hunter, you just shop around for the better deal or cut it out of the budget... simple...

as for fuel move closer to work, sell the cottage on the lake, sell the boat, sell the car, stick more money into a home and less into fuel, cut back on vacations, so those who rely on vacationers will suffer too becuz I will not travel as much, simple math and economics, people will cut back where they have to...
the government will feel it when it comes to police and fire and fuel and running those equipment needs, higher city taxes, bitch to the local polictician, no need to bitch if you do nothing about it, don't like your job or life change it... or accept it and be happy...

think how much it will cost when it comes to going to GS Nationals, but it is still cheaper than flying and no waiting in airports... that sucks, no lost luggage... looks like there will be more garage queens for TR owners.

This is BS

I have a good friend that flys for Conoco, he said the big wigs cater in to the plane every day at least $2,000.00 daily. He also said that he flew a guy from Houston to San Francisco, 1 person and he figured that was $80,000.00 alone. He made $170,000.00 last year alone. I told him god no wonder we can't afford gas!!!!

I also watched the nightly news and the sorry MF from Saudi is hiking up the price because he doesn't approve of how we handled Iraq:confused: If it wasn't for us he would have been ruled by Sadam! They are a bunch of Sorry MF's!!!!

You are forgetting about who all has their hands in the price of a gallon of gas or diesel. Futurers traders and OPEC start things off. Then " Big Oil ". Don't forget about what the government takes in taxes, this is easy to find - do a search and find out who actually recieves more money, " Big Oil " or the government. Do a search on what all the different governments pay for oil. Also you can't forget about the distributors and especially the retail chains. You ever wonder how and why THEY are able to change the price for fuel that's already in the ground paid for. Yes I know about the laws of supply and demand, but isn't it funny how diesel used to be below the price of regular gasoline and now it's .30 cents plus higher. There are still more gasoline vehicles than diesel. Off my soap box fro now.

I filled up my truck and it cost $63...to much money for 2 weeks of driving..Crazy.

All the oil companies/executives are greedy. There is no reason the gas should be this high, it is called GREED. When the need goes up, the price goes up. I still wonder how much the gas stations get the gas for. If I owned one, I would sell it at cost and bring people in. If they save $10, they will likely keep coming back..

Correction. Just today gas prices went up .10 cents a gallon..

Now I'm paying $2.89 for premium.. Weird thing is I can buy 110 octane race gas about 15 miles away for $3.99:confused: The price has been the same for the last 10 years on this race fuel.. Guess I'll have to burn that all summer long..:D

I work for a very large Company who just made me take a class on "Antitrust Laws"

And just to think that all it takes is a little bit of bad news in the Middle East to cause Gas Prices to ramp up as usual.... It's unbelievable, the double standard when it comes to Corporate Bid Rigging.

2.82 for BP 92 octane baby!

I dont care, its alot cheaper than 6.00 for racegas i buy for my other cars!

BW

$ 3.30 for crappy 91 octane Arco at the least expensive station that I know of in / or around Brea, Ca, $ 3.40 for most name brands of 91 octane, and $ 5.90 for 100 octane V.P. from the pump, within $ .10 of where it has been for the last year or so.

thats why i bought my 93 escort (4 cyl, 5 spd) that gets 30+ mpg for $500. talk about saving some money over driving the buick. although, the GN is MUCH more fun to drive.

Shoot, atleast your Regal gets around 20mpg...my truck is around 13mpg and runs me 60.00 bux a week. Thats my daily driver. I'm praying I can get my Regal runnig soon so I can drive it instead.

Iran released the British sailors, we'll see if the price drops.

Got to remember who runs the country......... it's the Auto Makers, Pharmaceutical and Oil companies that run this country.
