I'm in the process of replacing every electrical part on my car to find my high boost popping and missing problem and I'm at the ignition module now. I need something that can stand up to ~25lbs of boost. Whatever is wrong with the car now shows it's self around 15-17lbs of boost.

Does anybody have any experience with the gBodyParts ignition module?

For whats it worth I had the same issue at one time. Changed everything (sensors, modules, etc...)and it turned out to be a worn stock cam with one lobe that was really worse than all the others.

+1 and as the lobe wears more and more, you'll see the popping starting to occur ealier. Mine started at 16 then worked it's way down from there.

also check glen at ***********. he's a great guy, supplies quality parts, and will stand behind his parts. i've used glen several times and he's always gone way above and beyond.

IIRC as the lobe wears more and more, the exhaust valve (#3 in my case) opens less and less so under boost it causes reversion and pops back up through the intake. You wouldn't believe the trash I found on my oil pickup from the toasted lobe. If funds allow, go with a roller setup.

I wouldn't think it's a mechanical problem because it doesn't do it if I put it in batch fire mode (unplug the cam sensor).
