I need help, and fast. I have a razors alky kit, gen 2 translator, LC1 wideband, extender extreme g chip, powerlogger, appropriately updated scanmaster, and a 4" maf pipe w/ integral cobalt ss maf.
Full Throttle keeps directing me to the directions, but all the directions tell me, is how to wire it up, and how to flip thru the various screens.... Yea. Got that part. You don't NEED directions for that part. I NEED directions on how to TUNE MY CAR with this translator.
OH yea, one more thing. The chip directions say you can change the chip settings with the scan master. Great. But the scanmaster don't work anymore.... Sooooooo NOW what.
The parts are in my signature. How do I tune this thing? The directions do me no good whatsoever...

My phone number's 586.823.2605 Call me ANY TIME DAY OR NIGHT. I'll need to talk to a live person... Thanks in advance guys...

ok, where to start.....

Does the car start and run ok?

What is the part number of the chip?

Why does the scanmaster not work any more?

Is the wideband reading correctly on the Gen-2 monitor screen?

No start, no run.

Chip part number? It's in the car. The car is not at my location. This is the chip that came to you for a reflash, because it was for the wrong injectors. I had 60 pounders, and I THINK you put in the wrong injector, but I'm not totally sure. This came to you via Full Throttle about 3 months ago. It was for the custom 4" intake pipe w/ integral cobalt ss maf. I'm hoping you can remember, since I'm very postive you don't get many of these. Name's Tony Lopiccolo. The chip I have in there now, is the extender extreme g, for the parts listed in my signature below.

The scanmaster doesn't work anymore, because Mike said it shouldn't. He said you shouldn't see anything anymore on it, since it's got the new 2.2 chip in it for the power logger, and it's not plugged into the aldl like it used to be. He was right. Nothing shows up on it now.

And the wideband is not reading, because 1, the car won't start, and 2, even if it did, I'd never be able to get it to the correct screen any how. And if it did, I'd NEVER know what "correctly" looks like anyway lol.
So now you can imagine my scenario.

a couple things.

1, all PL's come with the correct software in them to send data to the Scanmaster. So we should figure out why thats not working. Does the scanmaster power up and display its version?

2, can you communicate with the PL using a laptop?

One step at a time and we will get it running.

Bob

The scanmaster does indeed power up, and display it's version.
Have not tried a laptop yet. I can see two cables. A black one, and a cream white one. The cream white one appears to have an oddly shaped, 6 sided head, that fits into the power logger, and the other head is what appears to be a standard issue usb head. Is this all I need? Shouldn't there be some software on a cd to load into my laptop? (I sure hope not, as I did not see one...)
Oh yea, what's the 2 odd female cables (2.2mm I think) coming out of the wide band for? They're black; one has a silver connector, one has a gold connector.

you have installed the PowerLogger, right? Cleaned the ECM connector well?

The PowerLogger comes with an analog connection unit (small board with a terminal strip) This connects to the PowerLogger using the beige cable (this cable is the same at each end).

The white Scanmaster wire connects to the SCM terminal on the analog connection unit. This should get the Scanmaster working.

The black cable connects the Laptop to the PowerLogger.

Bob

the 2 "odd" cables hanging out of the LC1 are for digital communication, either for programming with a laptop, or connecting their digital gauge.

B

there should have been a CD in the box with the PowerLogger, but its all downloadable from the full throttle tech site.

Right. Will see if I can download it. But can I download the software I need for my computer as well?

Would it be possible for you to call me, and walk me thru this? I'm sure with these parts in front of me, it would only take ten minutes.

And one more thing; with this chip & setup, would I be able to switch out to a standard z06 maf, w/ 3" pipe, and still have it work?

The chip doesn't care what sensor you are using with the GEN2. It is all in the settings within the GEN2. I would recommend getting a regular translator. It seems the GEN2 is over your head, and you are going to break something.

Don't have the time nor money. What I got is what I got. Period. I was told this equipment has a ton of support. I'm not going to ditch something, just because I can't figure it out on my first go. Besides, I don't have time to get other ****. This has got to be working by tomorrow...

you can select a different MAF for the "MAF In" setting and it will work.

Do the things I have posted and get the info I have asked for. It will run.

Bob

The chip part number, which, like I said, was wrong, which is why I sent it back to you a little bit ago, is, I think, GWJX7BO6... Try putting a line thru the zeros, so that we can distinguish if it's an O, or a zero. With the J digit, there's a circle around it, so I'm not sure what that means.

The beige cable is copnnected to the PL and the analog block right? When we spoke on the phone you said the SM did not work at all if it is plugged in and the Sm is connected to the analog block it should be fine
Mike

Most likely the chip is correct now. I just wanted to be sure.

Finish connecting the PL, and the Scanmaster will work.

Finish configuring the Gen-2 like I suggested and the car will run.

Bob

Bob, I just called him, nothing was connected to the analog block nor was it plugged in. I walked him through some stuff and it runs now but the fuel pressure is jumping around from 25 to 45 so there is some other issues
Mike

Yea. Just a bit of background information; I walked into this install after it was only half way done. So I was like uhhh....
Got everything hooked up, got the scan master hooked up, got the power logger data on the laptop to start workin as well. All I have to do is 3 things now. Confirm the innovate o2 sensor's hooked up correctly (I'm thinking it's not) ,try to figure out how to hook up the innovate to the powerlogger/translator, and figure out what the fine tune adjustments mean in the translator. After that, I'll be squared away. (as long as I can located this vacuum leak, which shouldn't be hard.)

Thanks SOO much for your guys' time and patience. I really appreciate it
