All the managers (6) in my department are on at least wife number two and some just gave up on marriage because of what is available in the office. Not the healthiest of work environments. Yes, they have "training" on relationships that really doesn't help fix the problem they have. How many people do you know out there that get caught up in these relationships? I have seen many people in HR who are guilty of this themselves.

Same sh*t went on at the Ford Plant that I worked at and it's not just the automotive plants that this kind of stuff happens, it's just about every job in the US that has a bunch of employees working together long periods of time. The whole frigging country is doing it, it's the way of the world these days.

And what happens to the bills while they wait?

The Corvette plant in Bowling Green & the Ford Super Duty truck plant in Louisville. Matter of fact they make more.

I mean where could someone go to work within a few weeks of departing from the Toyota plant and pull in the same amount of cash without having to sell everything and move out of central KY. How long is the wait for the Corvette or Ford plant?

I try to keep my debt in check with the market. It's nice knowing I could work at wal-mart and still get by. The rest goes to playing and savings. I can find employment in IT in very short order. I worked at Lexmark for four years. That job took three days to get. From sending in my application/resume until I had a desk with a phone, surfing the internet was just three days. I can pick up a contract gig if/when things get bad. Just don't live beyond your means.

About your other response:

My stint at Lexmark taught many things about people. They don't play around there. If there is even a hint that someone is cheating on their spouse/SO, they are hauled into HR and seldom seen again. They played by the rules when it came to ethics (OK, for certain things). Most of the crew I worked with were hold overs from when it was IBM. They love the work and that's it. That is one of the things I HATE more than anything about this business, they just look the other way. I have one manager that always tries to get one of his subordinates drunk every time they go out to visit plants. She was married at the time and ended up leaving the company because of the pressure that her manager put on her (to mess around). EVERY friend of mine at Toyota has either done it or had their SO do it to them. It is just sad to watch.
