Yup, hurray for America. Toyota building more and more plants here while "American" companies outsource their jobs and hand out massive lay-offs.
Maybe there's a reason it seems like 95% of the cars on the road are foreign? Money talks.
Yes Toyota had a problem with sludge motors and they were fairly generous in replacing them if the customer could at least show SOME history of following a proper maintenence schedule. If you can't produce one single oil change receipt then maybe you're stuck replacing a 36k engine on your own.
Sorry guys but it's time to stop the nationalist BS. I work for Toyota along with 30+ other red-blooded Americans at my dealership, so if you have a problem with foreign brands then I guess you'd like to see all of us out of a job?
A few months back I'd be getting ready for work in the morning watching the news about more and more American car employees getting laid off or going on strike...
Oh and by the way, I obviously drive a Buick and my daily is a Ford. But saying one company completely sucks/another company has zero problems is stupid.
As for the initial problem being discussed in this thread, it's completely BS that they're saying you aren't covered for the repair. They were slow in coming out with a service bulletin about it, it's not your fault. I'd demand to have it fixed.
