I have a 85 GN. Since it has a whole different setup from the 85-87 from the turbo position, intake position and no intercooler. I have added a intercooler for the turbo, but I was looking into upgrading the throttle body. I was wondering if the 85 intake manifold was the same, or if possible to change it from the 85 setup of the intake to the 86 with out having to replace the intake. If I have to replace the intake manifold, thats fine, I just need to know if I have to.
After that, I was going to go with the 72mm throttle body. I have a new turbo and exhaust. I know I have to buy new exhaust headers. After I do that, I have to replace the fuel pump and fuel injectors along with the spark plugs. I am just hung up on if changing the 85 manifold is a must or if I can just take the whole 85 set up off and put the 86-87 set up and be merry. Any help would be awesome. I am new to the while GN ownership. I had a 86 Buick regal with a olds 307 in it.
