gn steering wheel color

My 87 grand national has a black steering wheel and it also has black screw covers on the pull straps for the doors was this an option or did someone change them also my horn ring is gray

Steering wheel should be gray!!

If its black and thin the leather wrap has been removed. I know Ive pulled the covering off of some junk yard wheels and they were black underneath. Theyre also much thinner obviously because the wrap is gone.

87gninpa it is blac and thiner it look just like leather with the stitching but its not leather its like a rubber.so the leather goes over this black part?

Yup, the leather wrap goes right over that. It does have the sticking like the original leather, but as you have realized its not.

I had my '87 Grand National steering wheel done by the guy you listed above.....will say that his work is excellent! Best I've ever seen. Worth it to me. Done by him years ago, and the wheel still looks brand new.....

$200 for a wheel done right is a lot cheaper than getting one done poorly for $100 and then paying the $200 to get it re-done...
