My GN upon start up idles to 2k then comes down to 1k when warm, how do you change this so at start up it is lower? thanks

Idle is controlled by the chip. Nothing you can do do it manually to change it.

Did it just start doing this, or has it always done it? If it just started doing it, you can try unplugging the computer memory wire (orange one hooked to battery +) for a few minutes & plugging it back in.

My car have the digital RPM gauge reading wrong.
Thank to the scanmaster, my correct idle RPM is actually 800 and not 1600rpm like the digital reads.

Thanks, I have a fast xfi system, so it must be in the tune I am thinking????????? Getting it retuned next week???? thanks

Is this a racecar?

Also, might have been good to mention that (FAST) in the beginning of the thread.

Mark, are you using FAST XFI as well? If not follow my original thread reply.

Sorry, new to this car.... ands this fast system is way out of my tuning abilities........

If it aint a race car, get rid of it. Or put it in storage until you actually need it. They are bad a$$, but on the street not needed IMHO.

Get a factory ECM and a good chip from Jay, Bob, or Eric.

this will make the car a whole lot more fun to drive on the street.

If you learn quickly and enjoy tuning...leave it in.

go to the screen under idle parameters
open the graph for idle speed vs coolant temp
click the mouse in the graph and adjust accordingly
quite simple actually
pm me if your still stuck

should be posted in the performance ecm section forum, but if you have c-com xfi loaded in a laptop and a communication cable.. connect up to the xfi and save your current config before you make any changes so you could go back if you need .

you have menu labeled labeled idle functions , the IAC vs coolant temp table may be set too high
youll also find the idle speed vs coolant temp table and you can set your cold to warmed up idle as desired
