If you pull the internals of the ecm out and let it dry it may be still ok. I had the same thing happen to me in the rain one day. I grabbed the ol lady's hair dryer and went to town. Make sure you check the plugs and pins on the ecm for corrosion. A small spritz of WD 40 will keep them from corroding. If there is a little corrosion try to clean it with a q tip and vinegar.

my mechanic is a family friend and too honest to do anything I wouldnt approve of. he's the most honest guy I know to be completely honest.

We will see monday which seal it is. if its rear main I plan on doing it this winter. I'm working out of town for two weeks, then a month vacation to california. Maybe I can get some tips from papa lou!

thanks for the tip terik. It appears to be dry now and nothing seems "different"?

Lets just hope for monday!

Thanks again for all the help/tips.
really appreciated!

computer/chip were dried out and work perfectly. car started back up and ran fine.

As for the leak it cannot be pinpointed. I'm just hearing this over the phone through my father because I'm out of town for work.

He said it is NOT
Rear Main
Valve Covers
Oil Filter
Head Gasket

Looks to be dripping onto the frame and then to the ground.

Its staying there until they can look into it further. any ideas!
