Best of luck, I had my own oil issue lately.
Highly recommend at least 2 external oil gauges, electric and mechanical. Pre-fill and shut it down asap when any gauge doesn't show pressure flying up after 2 seconds of new oil starting.
I change the oil right after the car has ran for at least a few seconds so the bearings have oil on them in case anything stupid happens on start up after the change. Anal but we've all had stupid things happen, PTE relocation filter blew top oring and pissed out oil and lost pressure but I caught it asap.
Board, would using a drill to spin the oil pump gears help his pump prime?
