I was wondering how you tell a real gnx from a clone. I have been noticing this black regal around town for a while <2or 3 times in 2yrs> When I first saw it it was indecent shape but he was moving to fast to get a good look. I did notice the heat vents on front fender. My first thought clone what are the chances of a real gnx being here. The next time I saw it he had front driver side damage metal bands holding up lights.Maybe a year passed I saw him flying by with two donuts on front and back passenger side. I really wanted to stop him and find out his story but everytime That I saw him I wouldn't be in the 87gn so I couldn't catch him or get his attention.Well last week was different I was out in the gn cruising I pass this run down hotel and what do I see that faded black car. For the next couple of days I go this route on purpose the car was still there. Today I pass by and I see him outside so I pull up and talk to him. I find out this is the owners cousin the owner is to intoxicated to come outside. the cousin doesn't know much about the car I lookinside it has the borg warner gauges, gnx on seat,badge#239 on passenger side, flares with macferen 16 rims. I know all these things can be cloned but what sold me was when I looked underneath at the rear end I saw the big gnx and the one fork shaped control arm hooked to rearend going back to the frame. I don't think he wants to sell it but considering the shape he and the car are in he might. If this car is real then this is really a sad day in buick history. Any tell tell sign of a real gnx would be helpful thanks
