I love the looks of the GNX package but for some reason I haven't seen very many clones like you do with the GSX. Is it taboo to make a clone? What's the reason behind this? I ask because I just ordered my specialty plates and the only thing available that sounded cool was GNX. I plan to order the wheel flares and port holes today but wanted some insight.

I've seen two, one had T-Tops and the other still had GN badging as well...

I guess as they get older you'll see more? Easier to clone a GSX than a GNX?

wheel flares, port holes and emblems. Seems pretty easy to me? Sure, knowledgable people would check the axle, but I'm not trying to fake anyone out, I just like the looks.

Yes the rear suspension, and don't forget the dash! :) And how about the turbo shield and the IC?

Na, I don't care about that stuff. Like I said, I'm not trying to fool anyone. Just like the looks and the name. GNX. Just sounds badass.

Mine has the flares and vents. I like the look of that. But you'll need wheels to properly accomadate the flares otherwise it looks a tad funny. Mine will be sporting the Grand National emblem on the trunk only. I like a badgeless car but "do not" want to be mistaken for a Carlo SS.

Wheel Flares

Did you roll your fenders before you put on the flares, and if not do you know if you can with the flares? I want to roll that inner lip but don't know how that works with the flares?

Mine were on the car when I got it. I do not think they are rolled.

Simmons 17x8 and 17x9 poss 9.5! Tires front: P245/45R17, Rear: P285/40R17.

Yeah, your car just sold me on the conversion. I actually found #318 dash emblem last night when searching for GNX emblems. I couldn't believe no one in Texas had taken the GNX plate.
