I actually like that one. Although I think one of Casper's knock gauges should be in there.

I thought about that but I think I'm just going to swap the trans temp for a wideband o2 gauge. I don't drag race enough where I'm that concerned about closely monitoring the trans temp and I think I'll see more benefit from the tuning capabilities with the wideband and pyrometer. I'll figure it out before Spring.

Reverse the Tach and Speed-o. Replace volts with Knock. Replace water with Fuel pressure. Replace oil pressure with WBO
Place water and oil pressure under radio.
That would be what I would love to have

Actually you know what else would be really cool? Is to use LED style gauges and the Caspers knock gauge. It would look like something out of a Knight Rider show. Especially in an all black GN.

It would be nice with Auto Meter "Cobalt" or "C2" gauges!...also I like this dash style (Performance Instruments) because it still keeps "idiot lights" like the real GNX used to have...This is why I asked "Bent6" about the possibility of having some idiot lights...but unfortunately, he cannot offer them...Oh well...

Claude

FYI...don't mean to burst anyone's bubble but these folks have been around a while.

Gnxdash.com

You say you have $750 into it. Plus your labor. I think that would put you at around the same price point as these guys.

I've always wanted one of these dashboards to get rid of all the add on tachs and pods and whatnot.

Why is your setup better than gnxdash.com? this is not a smart-ass question, just a question.
gnxdash.com is Gone as in NO more !

Testing the waters to see if there would be any and/or how much interest in this type of gauge setup. Any type or brand of gauges could be used as long as they are 2 1/8" for the small ones and 3 3/8" for the speedo and tach. This is a prototype fabricated by myself as an alternative to what is out there at this time. This is not exactly plug and play but then it's not brain surgery either as long as you have basic electrical knowledge and skills. While this does require trimming of the stock core support it is NOT to the point it's completely hacked up and couldn't be returned to stock if desired. Don't pay attention to the trim bezel as it is a used piece with no overlays installed at time of photo.
Great Dash ! Way Better Then poston I will PM you i'm In I spent 7 something on poston and it was the biggest piece of s**t I don't even want it for nothing
GNXJAMES548 !

The wiring becomes even more involved if you are using a stock ECM as a new VSS has to be integrated in order for the computer to be able to read speed for lockup, cruise, etct

Could you explain the wiring part of this in detail?

Bent6
Where can I go(post) to see your setup of seven gauges?
What's the core support look like? Never been into the dash!
Am very interested.

This is the thread - look back on page one for pics of my dash.

We're going to keep taking orders/deposits thru the end of this week if anyone hasn't gotten in on this yet. Looks like I've got several to do so far..................................

You'll need a "charge" light and it needs to be a bulb not an LED. The alternator won't charge without it. I'm not sure that a gauge lets the correct amount of bleed through to the alternator. That being said Radio Shack has some small incandesent (SP) bulbs with covers that look pretty good and aren't huge. Looks good though. I always like seeing another option. If you've all ready used the gauge and the alternator charges then ignore my previous statement. :)

Damn I love your car, the color, the wheels. Just flat out nice!

Just a comment on those members who are in the process of buying gauges. I finished my panel with VDO gauges. I had troubles with the speed sensors and the electronic speedometer. Dan at egauges sent me a mechanical speedometer of my choice to use but I didn't think it looked right. I had a speed sensor that was bad also. I talked to him today and ordered a set of Auto Meter Phantom gauges. He told me to send all of the VDO gauges back and he would credit me back the full price for the set plus anything else that was defective(speed sensor)..My point is, not many business will go that far..

Done Mine!!!

I just wanted to say Thank You Will for such a quality job on my dash. It looks GREAT!!

Well worth it guy's!!

Here is a pic of it in the car...
