you guys ought to try the turismo racing wheel with brake and shifter. it really brings the game to life and makes it even more realistic to drive and harder i think.

I have 2 of them! But i didn't think anyone on the board was crazy like me. The times can definitly improve when using the grand turismo wheel.

And Slo86GN about the z06; Im copying your set up but what tires did you use? What transmission? Any light weight mod's? What about the brakes? This is why I posted a copy n paste easy formula, if you could just fill out the blanks I could make an exact copy of your z06, to try match cars as best as possible. I can't wait though, your the only person posting times so far! Thanks in advance and good luck!

The Z06 is pretty much everything that can be done to one. Right now I'm running it on R3 slicks, just to get a handle on it. I just finished the American Championship race series and it's tough, especially racing a street car against the race prep'd GT class cars. Still managed to get 3 wins, so ended up winning the championship. Grand prize is a '54 Vette....

Exhaust= race
Brakes= race w/no controller
Engine= stage 3 tuned, PnP, balanced, chip, nitrous
Drivetrain= full race trans, twin disc, semi-race flywheel, CF driveshaft
Turbo= supercharger (no turbo for the Z06..dangit..lol)
Suspension= sport suspension
Tires= R3 slicks
Other= stage 3 weight reduction, chassis stiffening, BBS wheels
Total Power Output: 740 hp w/o nitrous

READ BELOW FOR GT HD FIRST TIME EXPERIENCES!

BTW I just played GT HD, for Playstation 3. Holy Crap! As of last night I was top 3 in the nation with an tuned evo, in demo mode. Its cool, GT HD you can instanly connect to online, you have a set screen name setup for each individual PS3, and all your records are automatically posted online if your connected to the internet. Not only that, they have online leaderboards, AND the records for the top 10 for EVERY CAR ALL have VIEWABLE replays. So when I made the top 3, I was 3rd with a turned evo on the GT HD demo course hitting 1:11.89. My buddy who's Ps3 I was using could barly break 1:15's. It only took me 15 min of playing for the first time to score 1:11 and get on the top3 so Im pretty content. So this means sence I made the top 10 leader board, ANYONE can veiw my replay from accross the world! Its pretty cool, when this game comes out its seriously going to take it to the next level with ONLINE PLAYING.

Not to mention the graphics and cars look absolutly incredable! So smooth and detailed its amazing. But would I buy a PS3 and GT HD when it comes out, along with the NEW Logitech WHEEL with a 6 speed shifter and a clutch......HELL NO, the Ps3 w/wheel w/GT HD would total around $1000 dollars! And Im sorry, but thats just too expensive even for the GT KING HIMSELF, me hahaha. But I'll play my friends Ps3's and get their screen names on the leader boards like last night hahaha.

what about 1/4 mile guys. My fastest et is 8.2 seconds at 179 or so with one of my race cars. the GNX with NOS ran a 10.52@146 and 7.09 on the twisties. Im sure with some tuning 6:40-50's. on the nuehrgerberg ( cant spell this name ), Still have the 4 speed, but getting 182+ on the back straights.

the above is my upgrades on my Z06. so far with a couple of runs and the steering wheel ive gotten 54.752 on the Tsukaba.

Well I thought I would try it before I got drunk just in case, and I think it paid off. This is my time and settings, pretty strong car! Definitly need to use throttle controll and well as proper breaking in order to get a good time. The more your spinning the tires the more time your loosing, this is a general theme. And with this much power it is pretty easy to spin the tires. Just keep the rubber under controll and you'll have a fast lap.

Brakes= race w/no controller

Drivetrain= full race trans(only thing i did was increase the "auto" from 13 to 15), twin disc, semi-race flywheel, CF driveshaft
Turbo= None no super charge, I tried to S/C but it said it was going to decrese my HP from 705 to 550 something, so I didn't do it.

Tires= R3 slicks
Other= stage 3 weight reduction, chassis stiffening, stock wheels

I am a feind! I used the wheel, and on the second lap hit a 52.192 @ Tsukuba I crashed in the first lap, and just start'ed f'ing around not going for time just to get a better feel for the car. Then the 2nd lap I hit it pretty hard and got the 52 lap.

wait with more driving I forgot to mention this....

I lower'd the car 5 in front and 5 in back so the totals are 105 each. I also changed front camber by .2 in addtion to my mods posted but thats it. Maybe that will help.


and just for further reference, I have the C5R race car, and in stock trim w/0 traction controll, you can get in the high 40's on Tsukuba. Hit a 49.698 in stock trim, r3's and 0 traction controll.

I was top 15 in the nation last night when I played at my friends house, made it to top 3 actually. But I dont have ps3 so I dunno if its changed, but I sure it has. Its updated everytime somone races 1 lap rofl. Not only that but all recorded lap holding records such as mine, can be veiwed by ANY ps3 user! No more secrets, its gunna be very interesting. You can even look at the record holders car settings, so lots of newbies get a shot at your titles everyday 24hrs at day. GT HD is freaking crazy!!! Its going to BE FAWKING awsome multi playing it with up to 4 people! It loads fast in the games, super quickly and internet connection doesnt lag at all! I am very impressed.

I need to fire mine back up and run it with the R3's on Tsukuba and see what happens. The only car I've had to detune severely was the Cobra. Stage 3 lightening, stiffened, 700+ hp means LOTS of wheel spin, even with R3 slicks....lol. Freaking thing was waaaayyyy out of control...worse than my 800hp Supra. Took the S/C off and dropped it back to 550 hp or so....much more forgiving to drive now. Only weighs 780Kg though, so it's still stupid fast N/A.....lol.

im going to throw on the r3 cmpound tires. i ran a 54.1 with R1's sliding everywhere and i will remove the traction control for more speed and drp camber a bit. good times, but the race is on now brotha

Yea plz do, the 52 second should be no problem. So throw those r'3 on the car and get a 52 I know you can, it was pretty straight forward. Just hit your apexi's, clipping points, and dont spin the tires (use throttle control). Brake hard before the corners, keep a steady rpm during downshifting, the basic rules of a good driver. The 52 lap in my 695hp Z06 could definitly be improved on, but I was hesitent to post this.

Come on theres gotta be more people out there. I might have to sponser a memory card DL session. (I have all the cars ROFL, yes the F1 car the Saber c9 and the minolta too!) Completion of the game 100% (I copied a 100% completed game off a friend of mines memory card).


Anyone have JGTC cars?

well, i got a 51.91 with out nos and 50.96 with some juice set on 35. you definitely ahve to hit evrything to get it, but getting under 52 is tough on a erg basis. I havnt completed the game, i took a year in half off once "jude" was born, just started playng again Sunday. Im not sure how to hook it up to internet, but did ahve access at the last home. Now i have DSL, so should or can i get a wireless conection to work with my PS3 and how do i do it?

Im not in line for a PS3 anytime soon, with "Fear" still be finished up this month. But if you turning 51.1's, you got me beat and you obviously hit the apex's and turns/throttle pretty consistently. The NOS is good only for straight aways, but you would better my 50
.9 time at least by .500. We would be a close race for sure and thats the funnest races. Smoking poeple gets old after a while. My friends simply dont like racing me for that reason. I have one bud, who races in real life and can do a good job on the tracks:biggrin:

I must really stink at this game.

I got my favorite car, the Camaro LM Race, made no changes then tried the Tsukuba. Best time of 49.808. And it has approximately 200 hp more than the ZO6 you suggested and much better brakes.

Stupid game.

YES there is, while your driving press up on the arrow pad. At least thats what I do, I think that there are options to change this as well, in the OPTIONS menu. Im not sure though exactly as I'm not playingright now. But when I get home ill post for sure. I know that you CAN turn the ghost though.
