GNX in Grand Turismo 4

Anyone drive this car?

Im messing around with it, and did all motor and tranny mods. But left the LCD and Suspension 100% Stock, its got like 550hp and its a monster! Pretty nice stock suspension, makes it fun to drive. And with 550hp, has huge nose dives when braking from 150+ mph

Anyone wanna have a time attack session? Any mods are fine with me.

I played that about two years ago and if I remember correctly I had a GN that could compete with the Cadillac Cien. You can get that car on those competitions where you race 2 or 3 races. Pretty cool game. I was 25% done and then the memory card fubared.

I started to play it about a month ago. Damn, it's addictive. I also have the GNX, now up to 620 HP. Dunno why yours is less unless you did the normally aspirated crap...that lowers the hp.

The fastest one so far I have is the Camaro race car.

But lately I've been stuck. I've finished all the beginner levels and can't get by some of the last on the pro level. I can't continue until I finish first in ALL those levels and I have to use a production car. The GNX can't compete and the Chevelle can't either. Those are the only muscular production cars I have. I think there must be another one but damned if I know which one it would be.

Do you know which is the fastest production car available?

Oh, a friend of mine who's playing it told me of a slick hint. Change the oil often...cars lose hp without changing it and an oil change only costs $50.

I have it. But it's not considered a production car and the game won't allow it in the level I need to pass.

It is fast though.

What level you trying to pass? What course? I passed that and I didnt use any cheat codes. I might have used an Evo.

I've got all firsts in all the races in the Beginner Events then I went on to the Professional Events. I've got all firsts necessary with the exception of the 2nd to last called Supercar Festival. It's the races in here that I can't get firsts. You need firsts to pass onto the final set of races under Professional Events called Granturismo World Championship.

So I need a very fast production car. Where do I get the Evo? I have tons of money so I can buy it.

It's been a while since I played, but the other Buick is nasty! Seems to handle better if I remember correctly. It's only $20 now, I should go out and buy it, plus it looks decent in 1080i on the widescreen.

My garage on GT4 is ummmmm, rather fast.....lol. For my supercars, I have the C5 Z06 that only runs 250+ mph, a tweaked on pair of 2000 Cobra R's, and a mildly tuned Ford GT. May want to keep an eye on the used lots and pick up a Cobra R or look in the Chevrolet section for the C5 Z06. I'll have to fire my PS2 back up and see what all I do have in the garage. I know it's almost 2 pages long though.... You can buy the GT on the Ford section as a new vehicle.

I bought the EVO and spent $200,000 making it as fast as possible. It didn't stand a chance against the others however.

So is the C5 Corvette considered a production car in this game? I think I need a 250 mph car....lol.

Well I spent about an hour getting my A and B licenses and will play some more tomorrow to see how I beat that one race. I have to get the Cien first so I can race with it and win it about 5 times and have a million bucks to build a car.

Engine= Racing chip only
Drivetrain= Custom tranny, tripple flywheel/clutch, Stock Limit Slip, racing Driveshaft
Turbo= Stage 2 turbo, Racing Intercooler
Suspension= STOCK
Tires= R1's
Other= All 3 weight lightening stages
Total Power Output 447hp
ALL TRAC. CONTROLLERS OFF; Ams(oversteer), Ams(understeer), and TCS Controller all at 0.

so my time was 7:12 seconds first lap with the hand held controller. Custom tranny settings by me.

I'm going to only upgrade the tires to R5's and the trubo to Stage 4, with a port n polish. I will post my time and settings brb.....
and my time was 6:41. The upgrades brought me to 554hp.

My GNX at 577 HP-all the mods, is uncontrollable until 4th gear. Any race and it fries the tires. The tires go green then green to red within half of a lap. I finally detuned it, did I just say that?, and it runs much better.

i turned off tire ware, It is alot funnier/easier without it, Nurburgring will destroy a high horse power'ed cars tires in like half a lap. When I used to play online all the time, through X link, tire ware races were usualllly only for the enduroraces where tire ware and driving skill are really seen over the course of 100 laps or so. For the 1 lappers or the 3 lap races like a short race, no tire ware was generally played, so I just got used to it.

What was ur 577hp GNX time @ Nurburgring?

could be my custom tranny settings, on a long course like Nurburring I am topping out in my GNX at around 180ishmph in 6th.

with this set up my 554hp GNX hit 6:41 at Nurburgring, with stock suspsension too .
