GNX in Grand Turismo 4

Well my second try felt a lot faster but it was only an 8:30. I wonder if it'll help if I shift out of first.

I think I'd better slink back to the beginner's level.

Now you say you can do it in 6:41. That's flying.

I did up 5th and 6th gears so I was doing 178 on that last straightaway. But the other racers are long gone by the time I get to it.

Guess I need more practice.

I tune the car to the speed I will use. Why have it tuned to go 250? Will you ever use that in a race? I usually tune it to 160 but get there all the time. So I'm constantly at 160. So far, that has yielded the best results.

well 8:30 to my 6:41 is a huge difference, what are your settings on the car? I postd all of my settings except for my transmission settings(those are secret), but i top out in my GNX at 180ish on the straight. My suspension is still stock GNX suspension too, but you should be quite suprised when driving a stock GNX suspension with R5 tires, or race super soft tires.

So this is whatit comes down to huh??? well i used the GNX for track puposes only.. i havent completed that much of it but i dont remember getting the car into the 10s... in the 1/4 the viper was best for me.. i gotta get back into it.. hey at least this Gn wont break down.. hee hee. Jeff

anyone?? any track is fine, doesn't have to be the long nurburgring. Laguna Sega is btw my second favorite track! Here 2 more tracks I played my GNX in tonight. Here are my times.

so 1:22 @ Leguna Seca boys.
and also 0:54seconds @ Tsukuba *dry*

Both time could be imporved but just did 2 laps on each course and those were the best. These 2 tracks are a lot shorter thus easier to practice on. I mastered both of these course before really even attempting Nurburgring.

Drivetrain= Custom tranny(custom settings by ME!!), tripple flywheel/clutch, Stock Limit Slip, racing Driveshaft

Tires= R5's
Other= All 3 weight lightening stages
Total Power Output 554hp
ALL TRAC. CONTROLLERS OFF; Ams(oversteer), Ams(understeer), and TCS Controller all at 0.
REPLAY Showed my hp was 554HP.

Would you believe I went to play it last night and the PS wouldnt read it for squat... CD was scratched so i headed to GAMESTOP to get it.. well i got suckered into 3 games NBA LIVE 07 Gt4 and IH
RA sportsman edition... tried those games with no luck.. it wont even read the cd cleaner...... ahhhhhhh any help appreciated.. i think its time for a new ps2...

RA sportsman edition... tried those games with no luck.. it wont even read the cd cleaner...... ahhhhhhh any help appreciated.. i think its time for a new ps2...

NBA LIVE is cool, my friends play that one though.


anyone have any time attack laps on GT4, im a xmas break and only have a few weeks to play around with this before back to school. I not using the wheel I promise, just the hand held controller. And some nifty pedal(button) work during gear changes, that and my custom tranny settings are my only 2 secrets to fame.

I tinkered with mine last night and went 1:01 on Tsukuba with sticky sport tires instead of racing slicks. I went 0:56.32 with my Z06 on R1's, spinning through 3rd gear...lol. The one that was really hairy and fun to drive was the Supra....only 800+ hp and spins the slicks through 4th gear (100+ mph). I would dare take that insane thing on N'ring....talk about crazy wipeout waiting to happen....lol. I'll tinker with the X more tonight and see what kind of times I can get out it.

So when I first got the game, I finished it to 50% then got bord with it because all the other races which I havn't completed were with the slow cars and I was over it or the 12hr endurance race(rofl theres a 24hr one too). So now I just play the tracks over again which I enjoyed the most and race in series with the most expensive cars(so I can sell for credits) and then reset the trophies so I can get the same car at the end of a series again. Helps for money reasons.

Or you can have a ps2 nerd look on the internet and download a 100% completed copy of a memory card, and transfer it to yours. My friend did this and now has 9,000,0000 credits and 100% completion of the game! Yes that means he has the F1 car!!!!!! I have driven it and I never thought something could be faster then the toyota milota in that game but the F1 car is!

Drivetrain= semi race flywheel, 2 disc clutch, full custom trans, full custom diff, driveshaft
Turbo= Stage 2 w/racing IC
Suspension= full race/custom...haven't played with the settings yet though
Tires= S3...sticky full tread tire
Other= stage 3 weight reduction, chassis stiffening
Total Power Output...447 hp (will have to double check that though)

No problem. I haven't fired the ol PS2 up in a while, so it took a bit to get back into driving. The GNX is actually one of the lower powered vehicles I have in the garage . The top 3 are all over 700 hp, with most of the rest in the 450-600 hp range. My top dog is the Cien....927 hp without nitrous... . It only runs 276 mph on the top speed oval test track. The Z06 isn't far behind at 268. If the test ran a little longer than what it does, could probably crack off 280+ with the Cien and 270+ with the Z06.

this is what i thought I posted, I dont know how the stuff was filled in already, but here is a blank one. Could you just fill in the blanks with the settings for your GNX and Z06? Do you have any GT500 JGTC cars? Those are already modfied to 500hp and are perfect for battling.

The Z06 is pretty much everything you can throw at it.....nitrous, port/polish, supercharged, balanced, N/A upgrades, race exhaust/intake, race flywheel, 2 disc clutch, etc, etc...lol. Only thing I changed last night was I went with a set of BBS wheels. I was just enjoying beating on it and the Supra a bit....lol.

you guys ought to try the turismo racing wheel with brake and shifter. it really brings the game to life and makes it even more realistic to drive and harder i think.
