GNX Ladder bar assembly for a gn or turbo t application?

Has anyone tried to reproduce a ladder bar assembly for a gn or t type. I imagine someone can weld one together. I imagine the hard part would be connecting it to the rear axle cover. I am wondering if this has ever been done and if so how.

I believe that an exact reproduction of the GNX ladder bar assy is available trhough either Kirban's, Poston's, or one of the TR parts places. About $ 2K, I believe.
