Yea I've never seen a car like that on eBay with no reserve go to the end. They always pull them. It's the eBay thing to do! Now he can sell the car to someone out of his high bidder list for X amount of dollars and not pay all the ebay final value fee's on all that money!
When the guy sold my car on eBay he said he got 102 e-mails in 4 days. You would be suprised how many people don't want to bid and have the money to buy. They don't want their eBay ID on the auction when people look it up. Happens all the time.

eBay doesn't charge fees on the final value on autos... only the insertion fee of $40 and then another $40 after a bid is placed or the reserve is met.
A lot of people have been going to private style auctions to keep the winner secret.
