Oh why did I have to buy a Harley Davidson F-150 when I could have waited for this? My DREAM CAR!!!! Boo HOOoooo :(

$38,700! Even that is pricey. Not to say it isn't worth more, but I have a hard time believing someoine is gonna pay 52 coins for it.....

They say there is a buyer for everything. But why you would put a moustache on the Mona Lisa is beyond me. The car, stock is as close to perfection as they come....or so folks say to me at cruise nights.

back in the day buddy cox took his gnX and turned it into a race car.

to each his own. i think heaths car is bad azz, but if i were gonna plunk down the cash for a gnx, it had better be stock and low mileage.

I think that is a pretty sweet ride. Overall though I'd have to agree that I'd rather do that to a GN and have a stock GNX. I guess the car wasn't exactly in the best of shape though when he got it so it probably ended up the better anyway.

I talked to Heath in early December about my car(sledgehammer GNX clone). He told me what he was doing to 059. It was a good candidate for some clean mods. I had hoped he would have given my first dibs on it. :(

I was outbid on the black/silver car on ebay in May '03. User toocool won it for $27,600. Luckily I ended up with the car I really wanted this past Aug. :)

One thing that can be said about Heaths cars is...each is 1 of 1. ;)

i think your car is the one i saw at the 99 nats in columbus. i was just telling my wife about the gnx and asked her if she remembered the gn from there.

if so, thats one sweet ride! i was scared he was gonna have it in my class at the show and i wouldnt have a chance! luckily he had it in modified gn and i was in race car.

;)

i seen it at the nats when they had it at Columbus Ohio he brought it there to sell all i could say was wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What exactly does Heath Elmer do for a living? Is he the Chip Foose of Turbo Buicks? Us low buck 9-5ers look at his cars and just wish we had the blank check to do what he does with his cars. Heck, I would just be happy with a plain 1500 mile 1987 Turbo Buick!!!!! Is that too much to wish for?

i doubt he does it for profit. when i put together a car, i dont expect to make money on it. i do it for a hobby and because i love the cars.

so far i have yet to make money on a car i have modified.

The highest ever selling GT-500 Shelby was a repaint (non original color), non original motor, and had aftermarket rims. It sold for 280k at BJ because it looked very good and two people got in a bidding contest on it. It would have been very simple to just buy a GT-500 and pay for the things done and save a fortune. So you just never know what these things might go for...

I do know this,

If I could afford a GNX I'd bid on this one.

HMMMM, No Reserve...

Great presentation, Nice car. You'll be surprised what it'll sell for. Mods or no mods.

Heath is a graphic artist. He does signs and vinyl lettering.

After my car was in the May 2000 GMHTP mag Heath sold the car to Bill Knight. I tried to purchase it from him and we had a deal and then he changed his mind. Jump to Aug. '04 and the car turns up on ebay..same owner..same mileage. Just sittin' in a garage in Arizona for 4 years. I ended purchasing for less than the orig. agreed price. Heath sold it to Bill for less than I paid for it.

Heath can't be making money on these cars. My car is a complete frame off..every nut and bolt build. Just the labor would be what I paid for it.

The real story is Heath invented the fax machine that is how he is so well off......

Ok just kidding... He is a guy that enjoys building cars and find the enjoyement of building them rather than owning and driving them. He is able to do this because he does all the work (or most of it) by himself. He has a good eye for what looks good.

I have only met him a couple of times........;)

I have a strong feeling we will see this price jump.... Trust me guys the car is nice, just like them all.
