It is all about market awareness, knowledge of parts/cars and who to contact and where to put your bait out there for others to see and know that you are looking... If you low ball people, you may get axed from the option to purchase, however, if your nice and let people know you are interested, then it is different.
Agree or disagree, that is your .02 -- if it actually is worth that today.
Life is about timing and having the funds and options to make it come true!
I have found a great deal, but I cannot afford to drive 1200 or 2,000 miles to look at something that may not be worth driving or buying, so it comes down to what is available in your area... I live in Wisconsin. I have found that there are some great mechanics in the NC area and florida and I am sure other areas, but I only have the midwest area or Bowling Green during GS Nationals... I will never sell my 87 GN that I purchased new in Jan 1988 to buy a GNX, period, never, ever. My 87 GN is my GNX and I drive it!!!
I would be highly upset if I bought a GNX and drove it to a car show so the family walking around can touch it!
Richard L from GSCA drove his GNX and kept it outside during the GS Nationals
$80,000 for 30,000 mile GNX is not where the market is at...
$70,000 for 30,000 mile GNX is actual selling price.
$80,500 for 220 mile GNX is actual selling price.
5 Page GNX Manual is selling for $150, so no way is a GNX Turbo shield reproduction available for less than $400... now I have recently seen GNX manual for $35 or so on TB.com, but that is a fluke... no names mentioned.
Nothing worth having comes easily!
