...in the T-Type. Time to pick a stock appearing turbo. The T will soon be getting the engine which is now in my GN. Ported irons, port matched manifold, ESP stage 4 cam, etc. This engine went mid 10s in my full-weight GN with a T70. The T has a front mount now which will be getting swapped for a stock location stretch of some sort (possibly a Thunder Fabrication 21 row). Already installed is the tranny and 9" converter from the GN, so I have plenty of stall for a big stock appearing turbo. The "Stealth" comes to mind, but it isn't really a stock appearing turbo since it has a TE style housing, so technically it's out.
The only variable in the combo will be injector size. It's either I go with the 72s which are on the engine now and get a few chips made along with have the ECM modded for the big squirters...or...go with a set of new 57s. The simple thing to do, I think, is go with the 57s which should be plenty big for high 10s should I want to turn the boost up. I am leaning towards the 57s since I really want to use the 72s for my 9 second GN engine build-up.
Since the stealth turbo is out, I was thinking of a Precision TA64. Your thoughts?
