...in the T-Type. Time to pick a stock appearing turbo. The T will soon be getting the engine which is now in my GN. Ported irons, port matched manifold, ESP stage 4 cam, etc. This engine went mid 10s in my full-weight GN with a T70. The T has a front mount now which will be getting swapped for a stock location stretch of some sort (possibly a Thunder Fabrication 21 row). Already installed is the tranny and 9" converter from the GN, so I have plenty of stall for a big stock appearing turbo. The "Stealth" comes to mind, but it isn't really a stock appearing turbo since it has a TE style housing, so technically it's out.

The only variable in the combo will be injector size. It's either I go with the 72s which are on the engine now and get a few chips made along with have the ECM modded for the big squirters...or...go with a set of new 57s. The simple thing to do, I think, is go with the 57s which should be plenty big for high 10s should I want to turn the boost up. I am leaning towards the 57s since I really want to use the 72s for my 9 second GN engine build-up.

Since the stealth turbo is out, I was thinking of a Precision TA64. Your thoughts?

If I were buying one set of injectors in your situation (actually, I've been in exactly that situation) , it'd be on the order of a set of >= 83#s for the high 9-second build instead of using the 72#s in that car, and just keep the 72#s in the high-10 sec car or trade them for the ones you want for it.

TA-64

I have the TA-64 Q trim on a motor similiar to yours. 212/212 flat tappet and 72's. It's been a couple of high 10.40 passes but is conistent in the high 10.50 to low 10.60 range. Car is around 3630#

Like Art said though you should put the 72's in this motor and put 83's in the 9 second car.

Their is a Stealth 70 for sale on page 12 of the parts for sale section. (BTW you cant tell the difference between a Stealth 70 and a TE-44, one bad a** turbo)
