well guys im getting ready to head back to iraq we leave tuesday and well be gone for over a year good news is that when i get back im going to have about 15000 to spend on a new gn so thats always a good thing but we should have email when i get there so ill get to keep reading the threads posted well thats about it you guys be safe and ill talk to you all soon

may god keep a watchful eye on you, as a former scout ( 19-delta fort knox,ky ) i know a bit about what your going through. i know i don't need to say this but, be careful, keep your eyes and ears open, i would go on but i know you've heard this all before, well just take good care of your rifle and your rifle ( are they giving you the m16a2 ? i hope they give you an m249 but most likely you'll get an m-4) well good luck to all of you, see ya when you get back.

I am sure it would be a privilage and an honor to serve with all of the fine young men and women of your generation. You make us all proud.. Keep your head down and your chin up and know we are all behind you. We thanked God for all of you and prayed for all of you and your families today at my familys gathering ..

I have an old friend that I joined with (back in 81) who has just returned from Iraq... I will see him tomorrow for the first time in 2 years..
